Finding & checking care

Start

Start with a care check

A name. A record. A clear answer.

Keep a short note for each service you consider. Check the medicine, the person treating you, the pharmacy and the whole bill before deciding.

Write down the exact offer

  • The medicine’s name and form: for example, a tablet or an injection.
  • The health concern you want to discuss.
  • The person who will assess you and the pharmacy that will supply the medicine.

As of September 2026, approval covered an exact medicine and its use; it did not cover everything called peptide care.

Match the names to public records

Record your treating person’s complete name and job title. If that person is a doctor, use the state medical board’s licence search. Keep the result with the service’s answer.

A doctor’s state board record can show whether the licence is current and any penalties or formal charges the board makes public.

For a pharmacy, check the licence with its state board of pharmacy. The National Association of Boards of Pharmacy has links to those boards; the state board holds the official record.

Ask for the missing pieces

  • Why this product rather than another approach?
  • What is included in the bill, and what renews?
  • How will I reach the person treating me after the visit?
  • What happens if I need an in-person exam or more tests?

Write down each answer. Mark anything still unanswered and ask about it before paying.
